  • Rooftop bar and social atmosphere — The rooftop bar is a recurring highlight, with great music and views. The hostel's daily activities and events make it easy to meet fellow travelers, and the courtyard adds to the social vibe.
  • Comfortable and private dorm beds — Guests note the spacious mattresses, privacy curtains, and secure electronic locks. The pod-style beds offer more privacy than typical hostels, and lockers are available for luggage.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Bathroom cleanliness can be inconsistent — Some guests have noted that the shared bathrooms could be cleaner, which is a common trade-off in busy hostels. It's worth setting expectations for a social, high-turnover property.
  • Front desk service may vary — While many guests praise the friendly staff, a few have encountered less welcoming receptionists. Service quality seems to depend on who's on shift.
  • No pets allowed — The hostel does not permit pets, so you'll need to make alternative arrangements if traveling with an animal.

“The location was unbeatable – easy access to Central Market, the River of Life, and Chinatown. The rooftop party was a highlight and something I'll definitely come back for. Receptionist Holly and staff, especially Sharon, made us feel so welcome and took great care of us. The hostel had spacious, comfortable pod beds and amazing showers. The receptionists and security were top-notch, and the air conditioning and Wi-Fi were fast and reliable.”

“Great vibe, social atmosphere, and rooftop bar. The dorm rooms have comfortable beds and offer more privacy. Good location for exploring. Drawbacks: Bathroom cleanliness and rude front desk staff. I had a fantastic stay at Reggae Mansion Hostel. The social atmosphere and rooftop bar created a great vibe, perfect for meeting new people. The dorm rooms were surprisingly comfortable, with spacious beds and a bit more privacy than other hostels. The location was convenient for exploring the city. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could have been better, and some of the front desk staff could have been friendlier. Despite these minor drawbacks, I would highly recommend this hostel for a fun and social stay.”
